The XRCO is an organization comprised of the editorial teams of the
publications and other news media outlets that report on the adult film and
video industry. Founded sixteen years ago by host Holliday and actor/producer/activist Margold, the black tie event quickly became one of
the three major awards handed out in the business for artistic excellence.
Based on the voting of its large body of critics, the XRCO falls in between
the AVN awards, which are based on the selections of industry trade journal
Adult Video News, and the FOXE Awards, a fan oriented award based on the
submissions of its non-industry members.
